PAAO
The Parental Alienation Awareness Organization (PAAO) exists to educate parents, the general public, schools, and others about the effect of Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) and other forms of mental and emotional child abuse.
For years the PAAO had dreamed of bringing Abuzz, a panda bear character created by their members, to real life as a plush toy. Abuzz's role is to bring to light how damaging and confusing PA is to children, and help to say what children can’t. Happy Worker lent our product design, development and manufacturing expertise to concept, prototype and produce the Panda Abuzz plush toys which will be used by the charity both for education and fundraising at conferences and events worldwide.
Panda Abuzz is a soft stuffed panda standing 10 inches tall, the perfect huggable height for a cuddly child companion. Abuzz’s two hands each have an embroidered message – “Mom Loves Me” and “Dad Loves Me”, and the PAAO logo appears on Abuzz’s chest. The custom plush toy also has original sewn-in tush tags with the charity’s logo, URL and safety information.
PAAO members together with the PAAO’s designer, Bronwyn Coveney, provided character sketches for Abuzz. Happy Worker developed plush toy blueprints, fabricated prototypes and designed embroidery for the character’s chest, hands and original tush tags. Happy Worker collaborated with the PAAO on final plush design, fur selection, and production and delivery to the PAAO’s offices. Happy Worker also donated our creative fees to help support the PAAO’s important mission.
