Making Vinyl Toys: The Top 3 Questions
1. What’s the Minimum Order for Vinyl Toys?
For mini vinyl toys, our minimum order is 5,000 toys. For figures 4” tall or larger, we can normally reduce that to 2,500 toys. Larger orders up to millions of toys are no problem.
If 2,500 or 5,000 vinyl toys is overkill for your needs, an alternative to consider is polystone figurines.

2. Vinyl Toymaking: How Long Does it Take?
It takes between 26 and 30 weeks to design, prototype, manufacture and deliver a batch of vinyl figures. For complex designs and figures with mixed materials, the schedule can be a little longer.
Faster schedules are sometimes possible, but additional rush costs may apply, and we can only rush so much while ensuring great quality toys. Contact us with your schedule and we’ll do our best!
3. How much are Custom Vinyl Toys?
Just as no two vinyl figures are the same, no two project budgets are the same.
The cost to create an order of action figures depends on:

Budgets for vinyl figure projects include 3 areas:
- Per unit
Most 5-inch tall vinyl toys with packaging cost between $8 and $12 each for an order of 2,500 toys. 3-inch tall vinyl mini figures can range from $6 to $10 each for an order of 5,000 toys. - Setup Investments
One-time costs for design work, prototyping, and tooling are additional and normally range between $12,000 to $20,000 or more, depending on the vinyl toys’ complexity and reference artwork/assets available. - Freight
Shipping costs are additional and depend on the size of the packaged figure, the order quantity, and the destination. We’ll help with a freight estimate as we’re discussing your project.
