Happy Workers Recycle and Reuse

Help toys spread fun and happiness, rather than waste!

We can't claim to be environmental role models - we create packaged toys made from plastic. This creates two problems:

  • Packaging has a tendency to end up in the garbage
  • Plastic is man-made and doesn't biodegrade

2 easy things you can do to help:

1) Please recyle product packaging

Each package recycled is one less thing in our landfills, and one more way to keep all of us Happy Workers.

For our action figures, the packaging is referred to as a 'blister card' - a plastic blister on the front, with a cardboard backing:

  • Card backing can be recycled in any standard cardboard or mixed paper recycling containers (e.g. green / grey boxes)
  • Plastic blister (both inner and outer layers) is also recyclable where mixed plastics collection facilities exist
2) Please reuse or donate our products

While facilities do exist to recycle toys, there is no convenient collection services for mixed plastics. Thus, in most areas of North America it's not realistic to recycle toys.

However, reuse is a different story. When you're done with our products, rather than throwing them out - donate them! Either give them to friends, or donate them to charities like Goodwill. Make throwing them in the garbage the last resort!

Recycling and Waste Diversion Resources

It's about time that manufacturers that make money on consumer products (like us) contribute to handling the waste their products produce. One pioneering initiative in our neck of the woods is the Stewardship Ontario Program.
