McAfee, the world's largest IT security company, works with a network of Value Added Resellers (VARs) to reach its corporate clients. McAfee and its VAR partners wanted an unusual item to use both as a leave behind for their sales reps, and as part of direct mail campaigns to encourage decision makers to attend technology focused "lunch and learn" sessions.
A heroic GeekMan, Special Edition - IT Security Action Figure was designed to appeal to technology professionals. Complete with 5 accessories including an infallible mega-laptop, an intravenous caffeine delivery unit, and a nanonerd atomic watch, the geeky hero was packaged in a pseudo-software box covered with fun copy about IT professionals and computer security.
Happy Worker worked together with McAfee and Information Systems Architects, one of McAfee's largest VAR partners, to develop the concept, package and overall program. We provided copy drafting, designed the packaging based on McAfee's requirements, produced the toys, and managed logistics to different VARs across North America and to several IT trade shows.
The custom action figure
boosted seminar attendance and generated additional leads. Many new decision
makers have been attracted to seminars and sales events solely because of
this fun, targeted toy. McAfee has also used the IT Security Action Figure
in contests for its business customers.

In a collaborative creative process, Happy Worker worked together with McAfee and one of its largest VARs to create this unusual sales premium. The team members who made the largest contributions are named on the package.
