Custom Branded Packaging

A branded product needs excellent packaging that, through a fun and professional design, will effectively convey product information in an aesthetically pleasing way, creating a whole world around your product and ultimately making your product and your campaign more memorable. Great packaging also provides a protective shelter, making the product shippable, storable, collectible and displayable for years to come.

We can take on graphic design and illustration with your direction, or your creative team can design the package using a Happy Worker template. We'll count on your copy writers to jump in with heroic copy to celebrate the toy's recipients and promote your campaign.

Types of Custom Packaging

Based on your needs, we’ll develop the best home for your new creation. Some common packaging types for retail quality items and promotions are:

Blister cards

blister box

What it is: Transparent, sealed plastic domes attached to a sheet of die cut cardboard; cardboard is a blank canvas open for graphic design, copy, branding, and other production information
Why it works: Molds around item so it’s tightly and completely encased—prevents shifting inside the package and prevents damage.
Great for action figures and items with small parts or many components

Clamshells / full blisters, including re-sealable varieties

clamshell box What it is: Either two molded plastic sheets which sandwich the product in the middle, or one sheet folded over like an underwater clam. Both varieties are sealed shut around edges, either melded together and must be cut open, or re-sealable, which open/close very easily; includes a card insert for important product information.
Why it Works: Keeps product very safe, some varieties will have separate inner cavities for individual pieces. Re-sealable versions can be used for easy, safe, and presentable storage of product later on.

Window boxes

What it is: Card boxes with a plastic window in front allowing package’s contents to be seen; versions with a flap hide the window and the product. An additional blister may surround the product. Some window boxes are open (have no plastic), allowing recipient to touch item.
Why it works: Box offers good protection while item can still be viewed through window; additional blister keeps product extra safe; flap gives a Surprise!!! effect when opened. Open window allows for interactivity, or plastic keeps product safe and clean.

Surprise boxes

surprisebox What it is: Like the window box, but without a window! Completely conceal inner contents, and so are often known as “surprise boxes;” contents are only revealed when package is completely removed. Graphic design and copy can still be included on box exterior to explain what is inside.
Why it works: Complete surprise (or simply complete concealment and protection) until package is completely removed. If it’s a true surprise box, it’s great for a series of collectible toys. Good if presentation is not as important.

Custom printed polybags

printed polybags What it is: Flexible, transparent bags that are either sealed shut or taped shut, providing an airtight home for the toy inside. Graphics and copy can be printed on the bag to provide important product information or branding. A header can also be added to the top, providing more space for product information. Shrink wrap may serve as an alternative.
Why it works: Cost-efficient. Simple, easy, protective packaging for simpler products, as opposed to just bulk packaging.

Clear acrylic display boxes and cases

acrylic cases What it is: Completely clear plastic packaging with custom shape and design with a door or lid closure.
Why it works: Specifically designed to fit your product. Display-friendly packaging allows toy to be seen from all angles; for long-term display, acrylic beats dust bunnies and focuses attnetion on toy inside.

Tin boxes

tin boxes What it is: Metal boxes that can be custom designed, with or without a window; either topped with a separate lid or equipped with a hinged door closure. Can be custom screen printed to add graphic design and branding.
Why it works: Re-usable! Tin is also magnetic, and so is an ideal style of packaging for magnet sets and other magnetic items.

Tubes

tube What it is: Clear plastic or glass tubes that are custom created to display contents, or heavy paper tubes which hide the inner contents. Often sealed with a plug or a lid, tubes come in either cylinders or rectangles.
Why it works: Great for products that can be stacked or have many parts; if plastic or glass, can display product from all angles.

Direct mail packaging - We’ll create mail-ready pieces, tightly integrating your new Happy Worker product with its internationally bound mailer box.
Trade show packaging – Keeping booth storage space in mind and creating easy-to-carry products for the trade fair floor.
Retail packaging – Ask us about adding branded hang tabs, swing tags, dangling tags, UPC codes, die cuts for hook-friendly display, and stickers to your product to help give it retail style finishing. These details tend to add value, helping your promotion or give-away look like it was purchased. People may even try to purchase your promotions from you!
Bonus incentives – Add owner’s manuals, character brochures, or fun accessories like custom baseball cards or coins to your packaging to add value and fun.
In-package marketing collateral – Integrate reply cards, brochures and sales rep business cards into the final package and its contents.
