Experts predict that if Britain makes the finals, these “football sickies” could increase absenteeism by 40%, resulting in loss productivity costs in the hundreds of millions of pounds. A friendly call to action for all the British bosses out there... there’s not many better team building exercises or morale boosters than heading out to the pub with your staff to take in a football match. Plus, you can get your accountant to write off the beer and munchies as an entertainment expense. (heck, we did it back in 2002, and we’re planning on a repeat…)
