This one caught me a bit by surprise… apparently more and more business men and women in the U.S. are replacing the traditional handshake (remember kids, nice firm grip but not too strong…) with a hug and a kiss. (Read the article here). The most common departments for hugs and kisses are the more extroverted of the business arts: sales and marketing, public relations and among restaurant workers. Hey, why not? Next time you greet your boss, run up and plant a big wet one on her/his cheek! Imagine this trend won’t be hitting the mob world anytime soon… imagine the confusion – was that the kiss of death, or are you just happy to meet me?
