How will we work with Happy Worker
At the start of the project we'll plan a timetable. We can handle all aspects of the project, or we can work directly with your marketing and creative teams to create, finalize and approve the concept, then design the toys and packaging. We'll submit each step for your review and approval, and make any changes necessary.

How long does it take to create custom toys or action figures?
We can fill some types of custom requests in a few weeks. Typical timelines for fully tailored toys and packaging is 4 to 6 months, depending on the amount of review and approval time required.

Are there minimum order sizes?
The short answer - yes and no. We design products from scratch so they exceed your goals while keeping the bean counters happy. Please contact us with your goals, estimated quantity and budget, and we'll be pleased to discuss different concepts, materials and packaging that work best for your project's goals and budget.
As a rough guide, for most custom plastic toys or action figures we recommend a starting order in the mid-thousands of units for cost effective pricing. Custom gift items or toys made from other materials can be created in as little as the low hundreds of units. (Note - if you'd like to customize our existing Happy Worker-branded items, we can accommodate a variety of order sizes through different customization options.)
Can you make just 1 custom toy or custom action figure?
Yes, we can - we've created unique one off items both for high-end gifts and as prototypes for larger production. However, we don't shortchange any toy project - all of the projects we accept are completed at a very high level of quality, by veteran toy designers and sculptors. Every custom toy project undergoes the same creative process, whether it's for a single toy or tens of thousands. As such, single custom toys are not inexpensive, and do not normally fit budgets for birthday or holiday gifts.
Can we purchase existing Happy Worker toys as-is for gifts and promotions?
Yes, many companies appreciate the uniqueness of our Happy Worker retail products as original corporate gifts and purchase our toys and gifts without additional branding or customization. We're able to add a custom message or logo via high-quality stickers/labels. With large orders we're able to pad (tampo) print directly on the toy.

How much does it cost to create custom toys?
As a rough guide, the per-unit price for small orders of custom toys starts close to what you would pay for toys at retail stores, and can decrease substantially based on order size. Pricing depends on order size, physical size of the toy or gift, materials, engineering complexity, painting and packaging.
Before we start a project, we'll ask about your budget range. Then we'll suggest different concepts and options designed to exceed your business goals, at various price points within this range. Please contact us with more details and we'll provide a quote.
Where will our toys and gifts be made?
We design, sculpt and prototype our toys in the U.S. and Canada. (For more about how we'll work together to create your custom products, please visit creation).
Our toys and gifts are manufactured and painted by hand at top-quality toy factories in China. Our factories focus on collector quality work for large toy and gift companies including Mattel, Hasbro and Bandai.
How are shipping and customs handled?
We'll manage all shipping and customs so you can focus on your own business. We can deliver your custom toys & gifts directly to your trade show site, warehouse, office, or drop-ship to multiple locations. Our shipping partners are some of the world's largest air freight and ocean cargo carriers, and together we can handle complex, worldwide shipments. We'll handle customs clearance, as well as all customs and duty fees.
