Hi, from Happy Worker! We design and manufacture toys and exclusive collectibles (aka playful masterpieces) for the world’s best brands in video games and entertainment. We’ve been creating happy clients and quality toys, gifts and collectibles since 2003. It's all about happy clients, happy fans, and toy joy!
Happy Worker is looking for a new teammate who is equal parts cheerful and amazing. Their mission: ensuring all our clients and fans are happy! Their role: a merry mix of account management, customer service, sales, project coordination, and all the odd-ball tasks that go into keeping our busy team running smoothly. We’re looking for a very special person who’s a natural born happy worker, a wonderful communicator, and a self-starter with a professional-yet-fun attitude.

“Regular” Duties
Happy Worker is a small entrepreneurial team with more to do than we have time for. Our new colleague will joyfully build relationships with new clients, help manage key accounts, and tackle other under-supported areas so that Happy Worker can continue to spread happiness by bringing even more great toys to life!
The new teammate will be responsible for:
- (50%) Customer Service + Sales: Answer the phone when prospective happy clients contact us about toy making projects, provide cheerful customer service for toy fans and end customers, answer any and all e-mail questions, build proposal documents, prepare quotes, and help to convert new prospects into permanent happy clients.
- (35%) Account + Project Coordination: Support and grow our client relationships by preparing project schedules, creating client-friendly documents, keeping track of all the itty bitty details on constantly evolving toy specifications, finding solutions to project challenges, and writing a multitude of happy coordination e-mails.
- (5%) Reception + Office Support: Warmly greet office visitors, answer phones, send out shipments, and help with office organization, cleaning and garbage disposal.
- (5%) Sales Outreach: Research prospective clients and contact companies we’d like to work with.
- (5%) Web, Blog and Social Media: Everyone on the team helps take photos and write exciting share-worthy content for our website, blog, and social media platforms.
- (As they pop up!) Various Odd Tasks: We are a small team that is growing which means that everyone pitches in to ensure all the not-so-fun-but-oh-so-important miscellaneous things get done.
- (Always) Happiness: Bring fun & happiness to all that you do!
- (Always) Constant Improving & Going Above and Beyond: Make everything that we do better!
Must-Have Experience + Talents
- A True Love of the Customer: A bona fide believer that customer happiness always comes first, demonstrated repeatedly though past experiences. Really, really enjoys helping customers and solving challenges.
- Clear Communication Skills: A detail-oriented writer and confident speaker who can expertly infuse happy personality into their written and oral work. Always practices proactive and honest communication.
- Superb Organizational Skills: Experience keeping track of more details and digital data than a normal brain can handle; proven ability to organize and prioritize countless itty bitty details from dozens of different projects.
- Tech Savviness + Typing: Please tell us about your tech skills in your cover letter.
- Multitasking Ability: A quick worker who’s practiced at handling lots of to-dos, without dropping any balls.
- Comfort in Fast-paced Environments: Please tell us about your busiest work experience in your cover letter.
- Geek Culture, Gaming, Toys and Collectibles: True appreciation for geek culture, video games, comics, toys, and collectibles.
- Working Math Skills: For example, cross multiplying, calculating volume, and calculating costs in Excel.
- Education + Learning: A post-secondary degree or diploma in something; and always learning more!
- Plenty of Work Experience: We’d appreciate seeing a resume that lists all of your previous work experiences – not just the recent positions or the ones you feel relate most to this role.
- Experience Playing: Please let us know your favorite toy in your cover letter.
- Snacking Expertise: Please tell us your favorite snack food in your cover letter.
- Other Unique Talents: Please let us know what other specific talents or know-how you’d bring to Happy Worker in your cover letter. Anything goes!
